
Susan Hayward, BS, MS, PCC
Ms. Susan Hayward, BS, MS, PCC, is the Special Projects Manager for the Simon Foundation for Continence. She is the first certified Life Coach to be trained as a Continence Coach. She piloted a Continence Coaching program for the Foundation in 2013. She coordinates and participates in the Abstract review process for the Foundation’s Innovating for Continence biennial conference. In 2015, Ms. Hayward was also a workshop speaker (How We Think and Draw Conclusions) at the conference. She serves as a meeting facilitator for special meetings of the Foundation, and speaks daily with people seeking information and help in regards to their incontinence.
Ms. Hayward holds a Professional Certified Coach Credential from the International Coach Federation and serves as President of the Board of Directors of One to One Women Coaching Women, a non-profit that provides pro bono coaching for women emerging from challenging circumstances.
Ms. Hayward has a Master’s Degree and has taught science in grades 4-12. She is fluent in Spanish, and spent 11 years in Colombia, South America, where among other projects she created a health program for a local school. Upon returning to the United States she managed two organic vegetable farms and created the nonprofit, Roots and Wings, which provided nontraditional job training opportunities for at risk women aged 14-21. She spent seven years as Director of Shelters for Homeless Families in New York City for the non-profit, Women in Need. Ms. Hayward has a private coaching practice, Roots and Wings Coaching, which provides individual and group coaching life coaching with a special passion for eldercare coaching.
